| Born in central New Jersey, Tom was raised on a steady diet of Warner Brothers cartoons and Marvel comics. During his youth, Chuck Jones, Jack Kirby and the "usual gang of idiots" at MAD magazine won him over and motivated him to draw.
After high school, Tom attended The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art and soon after graduating began writing and drawing comics books. He has worked for Dark Horse Comics, DC Comic, Marvel Comics and Wildstorm Productions. Tom is most well known for his creator owned Roachmill series, his work on Gen-13 and Battle Chasers.
A short list of Tom's influences would include: Wally Wood, Hank Ketchum, Gil Kane, John Byrne, Jim Lee and Bruce Timm.
Tom is currently working in the toy design field while continuing his freelance career.
He lives in Freehold, New Jersey with his wife Nanci and his son Tyler: Boy Genius.
